NORSK. THE NORWEGIAN WAY.

Updated: Apr 2, 2019

What a year it has been! I couldn’t be more excited for 2019 and what it's going to bring. There seems to be an uprising on Social Media this year about not creating “New Years Resolutions”. So I’ve decided to follow this and instead adopt my dad’s “3 Year Goal”. Within these goals, one of them is to focus on this business and build it to the best it can be. One way I can be proactive in doing this is to start creating weekly content for you guys and publish it here on the website.

So, without further ado, my first official post of 2019 is going to be an inspiration post. Not only will this platform be a compilation of top tips for HMO styling, but I also want to include inspiration that I have collected from visiting different places.

Norsk. The Norwegian coffee shop that shows the Scandinavian style we all know and love but with a fresh look! You may also recognise these interiors from the owner's other job running the Little Italy Espresso Bar chain of coffee shops along the train line throughout Buckinghamshire, OXON and Warwickshire.

Norsk, the interiors & lifestyle store, was launched by Catherine in 2018 who was born on the Southern tip of Norway: Kristiansand. Her style is heavily influenced by her Nordic heritage but also mixed with the quirky British vintage finds and a slight rock'n'roll edge. The Scandinavian lifestyle is all about appreciating the gentler pace of life, the great outdoors and the desire to live in the moment.

Now I can't mention Norsk without talking about the food. OH THE FOOD... Everything they create is made from scratch using local, fresh produce. They are open 7 days a week with an array of artisan breakfasts, homemade soups and lots of tempting pastries! Don't feel like a full on breakfast? No problem, the coffee is equally impressive using their own grind of espresso!

I couldn't recommend this cafe more! A great all rounder for food but the atmosphere and environment really tops it off for me. Check out my mood board below for some ideas on how you can achieve this Nordic style within your own home!
